North Springs is a unique neighborhood that stands out because of the 'Vacation-at-Home' feel, made possible by the great amenities. We have a lush park full of mature trees, a beautiful lake, an island with a gazebo, walking trails, and even tennis courts.
With North Springs closing in on 50 years, imagine what it would be like to revitalize this community so it is even more thriving than when it was first founded? This is a plan for that revitalization.
You'll see that there aren't a lot of new ideas. We reference projects the board has been trying to complete for years, and storm water management plans from 1983... What's new is the idea of tying these ideas together all at once, while establishing and maintaining processes that make sure that required regular maintenance is performed. That we could actual fund these ideas, is pretty new, and exciting.
Lay out existing scope of work and areas (show maps, pictures, etc)
How long has it been since this was done correctly?
Lay out the cost.
Does it have to be this way? The work isn't 'difficult' and aside from the dam and the island, it isn't even that expansive. There's just a lot of driving in between.
If it were as easy as 'find a cheaper lawncare company' or 'raise the assessments by 10%' you wouldn't be looking at a website designed and built for the sole purpose of convincing you to support a different plan (where your neighbors do the lawncare, planting and pruning).
It makes sense to focus and expand on what actually works. The Garden Club has given the community a great example for how to manage many tasks. We are proposing that model could be more widely applied. Let's take the great ideas and expand them to a larger scale.
