Architectural Review
If you would like to make a change to the exterior of your home or add something to your yard that is visible from street or lake view, you MUST first complete the Architectural Review process. We strive to make this process easy for you, while maintaining the character of the neighborhood. Any change in property landscape or house elevations, including color changes, must be reviewed and approved by the Committee.

The Architectural Committee is responsible for the review and approval of additions, alteration, or changes to exterior structures in accordance with the Declaration of Covenants: “No building, wall, fence, swimming pool, or other structure shall be erected nor shall any landscaping be done, nor shall any exterior...alteration therein be made until the plans and specifications showing the nature, kind, shape, height, materials and location of the same shall have been submitted to and approved in writing as to the harmony and compatibility of its external design and location, with the surrounding structures and topography.” (Declaration of Covenants, Article VII, Section 1).
The process to get approval for such a exterior change or additional structure is as follows:
1. Complete the form (below).
2. If using the paper copy, send the form by mail to NSPOA Architectural Committee, ℅ Cedar Management Group, PO Box 481349, Charlotte, NC 28269.
3. Architectural committee will meet as soon as possible, but not more than 1 month after receiving completed form.
4. Architectural committee will notify requestor of the decision by email.
5. If the homeowner does not agree with the Architectural Committee decision, he/she can appeal the decision to the NSPOA Board of Directors through email to northspringspoa@gmail.com or by mail to NSPOA President, ℅ Cedar Management Group, PO Box 481349, Charlotte, NC 28269
NSPOA Board of Directors will meet as soon as possible, but not more than 1 month after receiving an appeal.
6. NSPOA president will send a letter and call you with the NSPOA Board’s decision.
